Preface by Rubén Lardín
Twelve years after Playlove, Miguel Ángel Martín returns to comics with a new graphic novel, a very particular and sophisticated history of gastronomy.
As soon as he got out of prison, Sandoval accepted a temporary job as a security guard in a semi-abandoned industrial estate. That’s how he met Belasco, owner of Saphari, a restaurant specialising in exotic meats and other extravagant delicacies, such as nyotaimori, reserved only for trusted customers. Having lunch one day in Saphari, Sandoval meets Amanda, a regular customer he is attracted to, and his two daughters who are looking for a lost puppy. Hand in hand with Belasco, Sandoval will discover a world on the fringes of society’s values and norms. He receives the news he has been waiting for, leaves the guard post and confesses to Belasco what his real job is.
